This site gives information about postgraduate studies. This page gives an overview of funding opportunities, with links to further information. It includes information for students with disabilities and international students.

A very good site. Find out the information you need about supporting your higher education at a Scottish university, then track your application online.

This part of the site deals with getting financial support and managing it at all levels of post-compulsory education. A very informative site and one of the few that covers non-HE funding.

From this page you can find a university prospectus online to help you fill in the relevant details of your UCAS form and help you make a decision about which universities to apply to.

This site gives all the information you will need to help you fill in your UCAS form for a place on a higher education course. You can fill in the form online, but only through an adviser.

This is part of the UCAS website. It is an excellent, up to date page listing all the higher education and further education colleges in the UK. You can find colleges and their websites through the map or the alphabetical list.

This is a site specifically for 16-18 year olds that gives information about careers and education. Free registration also gets you access to an online advisor and UK course search. 
  
  Woody's Web Watch
This is a great free resource for anyone about to go to university, covering a wide range of higher and further education issues. Contains hundreds of links to useful websites and organisations as well as plenty of well written advice. 
  
Get careers advice
  Careers-UK
This is the website of the Careers Service National Association website. On this site you can find out the contact details of your nearest careers office, so you can contact them for advice. Some careers services are now part of the Connexions Service.

A good graduate careers site that provides careers advice and information about most different industries and types of employment. The site is easy to use and there are some good features like an experts forum and employers directories.

Very good careers site that is aimed principally at graduates. However, much of the advice and many of the resources and links are equally applicable to anyone wanting some careers advice or looking for information about getting a job.

A good directory of some very good places on the web to find careers advice. Lots of sites that are aimed at all sorts of different people, from graduates or school leavers to anyone who is thinking of changing their existing job. A good resource.

Monster is a well known source of employment information. It is packed with useful resources and advice about finding a new job, changing careers and other important employment issues. You can also find expert advice on specific topics.

This is the UK's official graduate careers service. You can access a wide range of services online including careers advice and help with finding jobs, postgraduate courses and work experience. Worth registering as lots of employers also view the site.

  Financial Services Authority - Advice
The FSA is the independent organisation that is responsible for regulation of the banking industry. This is their consumer advice section and its packed with excellent advice to help you make the best decisions and choose the right products. 
  
  FIND
This is the Financial Information Net Directory. The first place to look for financial services on the web. This is a professional site, simply laid out and easy to use, with up-to-the-minute news backing up the links to online dealing websites. 
  
  Money Sorter
From here you can access the full range of highly recommended 'sorter' sites that provide excellent, independent advice and information about a large number of personal finance products in the UK. A brilliant source of clear but detailed information. 
  
Get support for special educational needs
  Ability Hub
This site gives information about assistive technology for people with a disability who find operating a computer difficult or impossible. This web site will direct you to adaptive equipment and alternative methods available for accessing computers. 
  
  Ability Net
This site gives lots of free information and advice on adapting and using computers if you have a disability. There is also information about its many other advice, assessment, training and consultancy services. 
  
  DFES - Support
This part of the Department for Education and Skills site contains information about financial support for students with disabilities. 
  
  IPSEA
This is the site of the Independent Panel for Special Educational Advice. This site is full of very useful information for parents of children with special educational needs, about getting support in the education system. 
  
  Skill
This is the website of the national bureau for students with disabilities. They promote opportunities and support for young people and adults (and their families) with any kind of disability in post-16 education, training and employment across the UK. 
  
Read university inspections
  The QAA
The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. Click on ‘audit reports’ and choose an institution to find the agency’s reports on the way a university or college of higher education in the UK is maintaining its academic quality and standards. 
  
  The Times Higher Education Supplement
Under ‘statistics’ you can view university performance details. However, this is in the subscriber-only section, for which there is a charge.
