	Scope This well known British charity offers a range of services that can be of help to people with disabilities and those who care for them. The site is easy to use, well presented and packed with useful information.
	The Charity Commission This is the body responsible for maintaining the public's confidence in the UK's charities. The most useful aspect of this site is the ability to search for the details of any registered charity currently operating in this country and their websites.
Contact disability organisations
	4dp This is an excellent UK web portal for disabled people. Contains news, advice, a product locater and information about holidays, motoring, organisations, a shopping section and loads of other features.
	BCODP The British Council of Disabled People (BCODP) is an umbrella organisation that represents some 130+ organisations run by disabled people. These groups are mostly local coalitions working on local issue. This site can help you find them.
	Disability UK This site claims to be the most visited disability site in Europe. It is a very lively site packed with information and unexpected extras. It covers topics such as health, medicines, alternative cures, benefits, tips and tricks and much more besides.
	RADAR The Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation is a national organisation of and for disabled people. The website contains masses of useful information as well as links to hundreds of other organisations around the UK.

	After 16 This site provides excellent information about the opportunities and services that exist for young people with disabilities after the age of 16. There are a variety of categories, which combine to provide a comprehensive overview of the situation.
	Skill This is the website of the national bureau for students with disabilities. They promote opportunities and support for young people and adults (and their families) with any kind of disability in post-16 education, training and employment across the UK.
	The Shaw Trust The Shaw Trust is a national charity that provides routes to work for people who are disadvantaged in the workplace due to disability, ill-health or other social circumstances. The site is full of easy to find information, resources and links.
