Runtime's
DiskExplorer for NTFS is a powerful disk editor, which enables you to
- navigate
through your drive by using browser-style back and forth arrows,
- go directly to the partition table,
boot record, MFT or root directory (links),
- open physical
drives and logical drives,
- create or open image
files,
- access remote
drives over serial cable or TCP/IP,
- clone the entire drive into a
compressed
image
- switch between several views,
such as hex, text, index allocation, file entry, file entry details, partition table and boot record view,
- search your drive
for text, boot records, partition tables and sub directories,
- investigate the volume' s boot record by looking at the volume
information,
- edit your drive by
using the direct read/write mode or the virtual write mode,
- view and recover
files and whole directories,
- create a virtual volume
when you boot record is lost or corrupted,
- find the
file which is associated with a certain cluster,
- conduct your own data
recovery by taking advantage of all these features (see our
examples).
Runtime's DiskExplorer for NTFS was
tested with NT4 SP3, W2K, XP. It supports compression. It does not decrypt
encrypted files.
