Edit
In order to write to your drive, you first have to switch from the default read only mode to the virtual write or read/write mode.
Note: Please be aware that write access to your drive may cause irrevocable damage to your data.
Edit
Edit a single sector by selecting the entry you want to edit and clicking Edit->Edit current sector in the Main Menu. The selected sector will be set in edit mode and you can make your changes. The modified area will be marked in red and the last modified sector will be specified on the bottom status bar as 'dirty'.
Edit Partition Table, Boot record

You can edit several entries directly while in Partition Table or Boot record view. Just highlight the entry and click once or press F2.
Fill
In order to overwrite an area on your drive with a certain value, select the area and click Edit->Fill. Define the filler byte either in hexadecimal, decimal or text format and click Ok.
Copy and Paste
To copy a data area to another area on your drive, first select the data to be copied and click Edit->Copy and then select the first byte of the data to be overwritten and click Edit->Paste. Or choose Edit->Paste from file to overwrite the selected position with data from file.
Copy To File
To copy the currently selected area to a file, click Edit->Copy to file. A file dialog will ask you for a file name and file type. Click Ok.
Paste From File
To paste a file's content to the current position, click Edit->Paste from file. A file dialog will ask you for a file name and file type. Click Ok.
Virtual mode
When in virtual write mode the modifications are not written to the drive until you click Tools->Options and click the Write button or exit the program and answer "Yes" in the warning window.
In direct read/write mode all changes are immediately written to the disk.If you want to discard the changes you made while in virtual write mode, choose Tools->Options and click Clear or exit the program and answer "No" in the warning window.
In direct read/write mode you can't use the clear function, because all modifications are directly written to the disk.
