	Kudo Shops - Mobiles This site provides a decent length list of mobile phone and accessory shops on the internet. There is a useful description of each site and the layout is clear and easy to use. You can access some good value shops and get some good bargains from here.
	Mobile Shop This site can be a little slow to load the first time but it's well worth the wait. There are some very good deals to be had here. Choose from the full range of networks and tariffs and be amazed by the number of free gifts and accessories available.
	Shop Safe This site is a huge directory of some of the best shopping sites on the net, all of which provide secure and safe online ordering services. Simply pick a category and you will be taken to a list of some of the most reliable shops around.

	O2 This is the official 02 mobile phone network page (formerly BT Cellnet). You can find out all about the latest deals, the available tariffs and get information about the network and company as well as sending free text messages.
	Orange This is the official Orange site. Here you can find out all you need to about the Orange network. You can also find out about Orange sponsored events and read news and features.
	T-Mobile This is the official T-Mobile site. It has all the information about tariffs, phone deals and the T-Mobile network. There is also a host of useful information for existing and potential T-Mobile subscribers.
	Virgin Mobile This is the official site of Virgin Mobile. You can find out about how the Virgin deal works, find out the latest prices and access your account.
	Vodafone This is the official Vodafone site. There is loads here for anyone who is interested in Vodafone or is already a current subscriber. All the tariffs, deals and information about the network can be found here.

	OFTEL This is the government run telecommunications watchdog. The consumer information area of the site provides useful information about the performance of telecommunications companies and can help you to make a more educated choice about your phone supplier.
Get ringtones and images
	Mobile Phone Guide - Ringtones Here you can find a guide to ringtone sites. These include some free sites and lots of places where you have to pay anything from 50p to £5.00. There is also information about composing tones and the software that can be used to create them.
	Shop Safe - Ringtones Shop Safe only list shops and companies that allow safe and secure online ordering on the internet. This section of their site lists some of the safest places to get ringtones and images for your mobile phone at a variety of prices.
Read phone reviews
	Mo Mag This mobile phone magazine site has loads of information about the mobile technology. Although it concentrates mainly on Nokia phones the reviews are detailed and informative. Worth a look if you are planning to get a new phone.
	Mobile Phone Guide This site provides independent advice and reviews of most of the mobile phones available. You can find the full specification of phones and there is a useful jargon buster to help you understand the terminology. Very useful for choosing a new phone.
	Review Centre - Mobiles This page contains a directory of consumer reviews of all aspects of the mobile phone market. There are reviews of most of the phones out there as well as network providers, retailers, phone servicing, accessories and network coverage. A very useful site.

	ICQ - SMS ICQ is one of the best ways to send free text messages. You have a choice of sending messages on the web or downloading the excellent ICQ program and using this to send free text messages from your desktop whenever you're online. ICQ is well worth a try.
	Text Me Free Text Me Free is a useful guide to some of the best websites that allow you to send free text messages. You can choose sites based on where they transmit messages to, making it easy to text anyone with a mobile, wherever they are.

	DFEE - Mobile Phones This is the Department for Education and Employments official response to the Stewart Report. It details the implications for educational establishments and their placing in relation to mobile phone base stations as well as children's use of mobiles.
	DOH - Mobiles and Health This is the Department Of Health's online information about mobile phone technology. You can read all the available information about the effects of base stations and the use of mobile phones on health, and read the recent Stewart report.
	IEGMP This is the official site of the Independent Expert Group on Mobile Phones. You can access all of the information contained in the Stewart Report into the effects of mobile phones on health. You can also access information about the group itself.
	Radio Communications Agency This section of the RA website contains a huge amount of useful information about mobile telephone masts and their locations. There is information about recent government reports and the ongoing audit of base station emissions.
Understand texting language
	Encyclopedia Mobilica In an effort to educate their customers, Carphone Warehouse have produced this long alphabetical list of commonly used SMS parlance with explanations in real English. Fortunately, with the invention of predictive text, this language is dying out a bit.
	SMS Glossary A comprehensive guide to SMS jargon, definitions and little smiley faces. There are loads of different texting terms listed here, in alphabetical categories as well as topics such as 'romance'. You can also add any more that you come across.
	SMS Portal - Dictionary A list of loads of the most common abbreviations and symbols used in text messaging and internet chat explained in English. Useful if you’re puzzled by the strange symbols and spelling that accompany the SMS revolution. GR8 :-)
