Find out what's on
	Digiguide This is a small downloadable program that allows you to check what's on the TV and radio on a massive range of channels. It updates itself occasionally and has full descriptions of most programmes. It is also free for a trial period. Well worth a try.
	On The Box A straightforward and easy to use guide to what's on TV. It starts by showing you the 5 basic terrestrial channels but using the drop down menus at the top of each channel you can display combinations of any five channels. Has an annoying pop up advert.
	Teletext TV Plus This part of the teletext website allows you to find out what's on now and later on any of the major terrestrial, cable and satellite channels. Also contains gossip, news and information about upcoming programs.
	The Radio Times The Radio Times gives information about all upcoming programs on BBC TV and radio, as well as all other major cable and satellite channels. For some reason this site can be quite slow to open at times but is very good once you get there.
	UK TV & Radio Guide This is an easy to use site that provides good coverage of pretty much any channel available on any type of network in the UK. Simply select a channel from the list at the left and you will see the days listings. Also covers popular radio stations.
Get a TV license
	TV Licensing This is the site of the ever popular TV licensing agency. Here you can find out all you need to know about TV licenses and ways in which to purchase them. You can even pay online.
Identify an advert
	UK Television Adverts An excellent site for helping you to identify the soundtrack or actor behind the voiceover of adverts from television in the UK. There are details of thousands of adverts from the mid 90's until the present day and links to Amazon to buy the music.
Purchase blank CDs, tapes or videos
	Argos Argos has a good selection of products for sale online but you might have to wait up till six days for delivery. Browse the catalogue online, search by name of product or its code and then reserve your items for collection or delivery.
	Dabs Dabs is a well known and reliable place to find some good deals on a range of computer products. There searches are fairly comprehensive but it can sometimes be quite a lengthy process because of the amount of stock they have. Definitely worth a look.
	eBuyer eBuyer are usually a fairly good bet for finding some good discount computer hardware, software and recordable media such as CDs. Spend some time searching for the right product and you'll be likely to get quite a good deal. Free delivery over £100.
	HMV The site's got a great design, with each product containing a quick textual explanation, and as an alternative to having to walk to a shop it serves well.
	Jungle Jungle is always worth a look for some good deals on a range of IT hard and software. You'll be impressed by the range of stock available and the constant stream of special offers.
	Tesco Direct Tesco offers a wide range of goods on its easy-to-navigate site. They'll even store your shopping list ready for the next time you return.
