Find a street map and get directions
	Multimap This mapping website allows you to find a street map of anywhere in Britain based on postcode information. The maps can viewed at a number of different scales and travel directions are provided. This site also includes aerial photos and local information.
	Streetmap Simply enter a postcode or location and this no-frills site will quickly provide you with an accurate and clear street map of the local area. You can zoom in or out and move around the area with a click of the mouse on the screen.
	The AA - Route Planner The AA route finder allows you to plan a road journey between any UK destinations via anywhere else. Routes can be chosen for caravan/trailer suitability. Maps are provided and you are told what to look for on road signs on the way as are service stops.
	The RAC - Route Planner The RAC route planning provides the option of fastest or shortest journey and has an option of long or short descriptions of the directions. It provides a map of the journey and detailed directions, and the route is reversible for the return journey.

	Travel England This comprehensive site is run on behalf of all of the regional tourist authorities in England. You can find your nearest tourist information centre and find information about locations all over the country. Very useful for anyone travelling in England.
	Visit Britain This site is run by the British Tourist Authority and provides information about locations across the entire country. You can find comprehensive information about a range of topics, order brochures and find accommodation. A very good tourist site.

	At UK This site is absolutely stuffed with useful links to websites for anyone who wants to go on a holiday in the UK. They are searchable by county and each county section is full of information about destinations and things to do. A great site.
	Lonely planet Lonely planet publish some of the best travel guides to destinations all over the world. This site contains huge amounts of useful information about most of the places you may wish to visit.
	Rough Guides These are some of the best travel guides available, particularly for those travelling on a budget. On their site you can access information about loads of countries around the world along with links to relevant sites as well as buying one of the books.
	Travel Notes This is a useful page that rates the usefulness of all of the travel guides available and gives advice about the best way to use such guides. An excellent site that will help you to choose the guide that’s right for you.

	DEFRA - Pets This is part of the department for the environment, food and rural affairs website. It gives details of the Pet Travel Scheme which can allow you to travel with pets without the hassle of quarantine restrictions. A well laid out and informative site.
