Contact a motoring organisation
	Autoguide This is one of the internets biggest portals and this page gives you access to a huge number of motoring organisations from the UK and around the world.
	Bikesource - Clubs This page from the Bikesource site contains links to a wide range of rider and manufacturer clubs across the UK.
	Disabled Drivers Association The DDA is a self help organization run for disabled people by disabled people. Their aim is to enhance mobility for disabled people and their site provides a lot of information and links to sites relevant to disabled motorists.
	Motorcycle UK - Clubs This page from the Motorcycle UK site contains links to loads of UK based clubs and organisations sorted into handy categories so that you can find the type of club you wish to contact.
	The AA This is the official site of the AA and it is an excellent site for motorists or anyone traveling by road. You don’t have to be a member to take advantage of their excellent routefinder, traffic information and information about all sorts of cars.
	The RAC The official site of the RAC has a lot to offer members and non-members alike. There's a useful routefinder, information about traffic, insurance, buying a car and finding hotels. A very useful site.
Find a street map and get directions
	Easy Map A fantastic site for obtaining a map based on address information. Simply type in the details of the address and press go. The site will then generate a map pinpointing the exact location. This map can be emailed to someone or printed for reference.
	Multimap This mapping website allows you to find a street map of anywhere in Britain based on postcode information. The maps can viewed at a number of different scales and travel directions are provided. This site also includes aerial photos and local information.
	Streetmap Simply enter a postcode or location and this no-frills site will quickly provide you with an accurate and clear street map of the local area. You can zoom in or out and move around the area with a click of the mouse on the screen.
Get advice and travel information
	Consumer Gateway - Holidays and Travel This is a part of the official government consumer website and is absolutely packed with useful information and advice to help you understand your rights, the precautions you should take and generally help you to have an enjoyable experience.
	Public Transport Information The BEST and most comprehensive public transport website in Britain. It covers rail, bus, air, coach, ferry, metro and tram travel in the UK and from here to Europe. It contains ticket information, timetables and passenger facility information. Excellent.
	The AA - Travelwatch This part of the AA website allows you to use their excellent route finder and check all the latest travel information and news. This site is very up to date and if you register you can even receive free email updates of the latest traffic alerts.
	The Foreign Office In order to get the most up to date information about travelling overseas, this is the place to visit. Provides country specific advice as well as factsheets and general travelling tips.
	Virtual Tourist This is a powerful user driven travel information site that has over 200,000 members in 223 different countries around the world. Real people sharing information about real experiences makes this one of the best travel information sites available.
Get marine charts
	Chart Sales This excellent site allows you to purchase the full range of British admiralty charts that cover all corners of the globe. All purchasable online at very reasonable prices.
	Marine Planner An excellent online marine planning tool. Features weather information and downloadable marine charts that cover the majority of the globe.
Plan a route
	Michelin Travel Michelins site allows route planning in Europe as well as the UK and has lots of options for the route you could take, the roads you could use and even the consumption for fuel along the way. It also takes departure time into account.
	The AA - Route Planner The AA route finder allows you to plan a road journey between any UK destinations via anywhere else. Routes can be chosen for caravan/trailer suitability. Maps are provided and you are told what to look for on road signs on the way as are service stops.
	The RAC - Route Planner The RAC route planning provides the option of fastest or shortest journey and has an option of long or short descriptions of the directions. It provides a map of the journey and detailed directions, and the route is reversible for the return journey.

	Amazon Amazon has now become more than just a cheap online book dealer, it now sells a huge range pf products and is generally reliable and quick to deliver. One of the best shops for sheer choice but not always the best for price. Always worth a look.
	At UK This site is absolutely stuffed with useful links to websites for anyone who wants to go on a holiday in the UK. They are searchable by county and each county section is full of information about destinations and things to do. A great site.
	Lonely planet Lonely planet publish some of the best travel guides to destinations all over the world. This site contains huge amounts of useful information about most of the places you may wish to visit.
	Travel Notes This is a useful page that rates the usefulness of all of the travel guides available and gives advice about the best way to use such guides. An excellent site that will help you to choose the guide that’s right for you.
