This is a bus directory site that provides access to the contact details and websites of the vast majority of the bus companies operating in Britain. Also has links to a large number of other bus related links and information for operators or enthusiasts. 
  
  Go By Coach
Go by coach allows you to plan journeys and book tickets for coach travel around the UK and Europe on National Express and Eurolines. It also allows you to book transport to and from airports with Jetlink, FlightLink and Airbus. 
  
  Silver Surfers - Bus & Coach
This section of the Silver Surfers site provides links to the websites of the major bus companies operating in the UK as well as a selection of smaller operators. A quick way to get to these important sites or compare a number of them. 
  
  Visit Britain - Coaches
This is the official British Tourist Board's online information about coach travel in Britain. Although it is primarily aimed at tourists coming into this country, it has some very useful links to company websites and gives fare and booking information.

This site lets you find timetable information and prices and booking details for ferry routes from Britain to destinations all over Europe. Its an easy to use system and includes information about a range of peripheral planning needs for your journey. 
  
  Ferry Travel
A fantastic ferry travel site from Germany that is fortunately written in English. It contains links to ferry companies from all over the world in well organised and easy to find categories. Astonishingly wide coverage makes this a great site to visit. 
  
  The Ferry Travel Club
The ferry travel club offers a wide range of discounts on ferry travel from a variety of companies to all its members. If you travel by ferry on a regular basis then a cheap membership here could save you loads of money and get you lots of cheap holidays. 
  
  Visit Britain - Ferries
Visit Britain conveniently lists ferry lines by geographical ports, rather than by company name, so that you have all the choices possible for UK departures. Also includes contact details for many of the major companies as well as details of their routes.

  Aer Fares
This is a useful site that lets you make direct comparisons between all the major budget airlines in Europe. Although the results can sometimes take a while to load you can still save the hassle of searching each airline independently. Always worth a try. 
  
  Airwise
This site contains a comprehensive listing of all major world airlines with links to their websites. It will allow you to contact airlines all over the world and arrange flights wherever you want to go. 
  
  Buzz
A slightly less well known lo cost airline that offers cheapo flights to Germany, France and Spain and some domestic routes within France. Their fares are very competitive if you book online and include all taxes. They are definitely worth considering. 
  
  Cheapflights
This well known site is an excellent place to find extremely cheap flights to a wide range of destinations from loads of different airlines. Can be a little slow but its worth persevering as the prices can be amongst the very cheapest. 
  
  Easyjet
The ever expanding Easyjet have some excellent cheap flights to destinations all over Europe. Well worth a look to check out the latest bargains. 
  
  Go
This well known budget airline offers excellent prices around Britain and Europe. Unfortunately they only fly from stanstead airport. They can be fantastically cheap though and are usually well worth considering. 
  
  Ryanair
Another of the low cost, no frills airlines that are currently experiencing a bit of a boom. Ryanair let you fly to a large number of destinations around Europe for very little money. Booking online is simple and quick. 
  
  Scottish Flight Guide
This is a very useful site for anyone wishing to fly from airports in Scotland, which can sometimes be more difficult to organise on other travel sites. Here you can compare fares from a number of airlines at once to destinations all over the world. 
  
  Sky Scanner
This simple and easy to use site can help you to find the cheapest flights around Europe. It lets you quickly compare flights from all the major budget airlines in one place without any of the hassle of visiting each airlines site. A very useful website.  
  
Book rail travel
  Euro Tunnel
This is where you need to go should you wish to travel under the channel as opposed to over it. You can check availability, fares, make reservations and purchase tickets on line. All prices here include a £2 discount for booking online. 
  
  Railpass Direct
This is a site that specialises in providing Interail tickets for rail travel around Europe. There is loads of information about the type and price of the passes available and you can either order over the phone or online. 
  
  The Trainline
The Trainline is a good place to book rail travel all over the country. You can plan any journey and book it there and then. You have to register for use of the site but this is an easy process and well worth it for the service they offer.

The BEST and most comprehensive public transport website in Britain. It covers rail, bus, air, coach, ferry, metro and tram travel in the UK and from here to Europe. It contains ticket information, timetables and passenger facility information. Excellent.
