  • New Features
    • Improved frame support.
    • Input type="button" supported, enhanced html display.
    • Notes pop up when mouse rolls over an address in tree directory.
    • Bandwidth used by ecatch can be narrowed.
  • Fixed bugs
    • Netscape agents, the Top agent, the "getting started" page as well as the "Search" one seemed empty when opened.
    • Advanced search did not allow to locate immediately words followed by the "<" character in html code (i.e.: a bold character).
    • Addresses beyond 255 characters were shortened when saved (specially POST forms).
    • Enhanced image downloads (eCatch ignored some of them).
    • Numerous details.


06/16/98 - Version 2.0

  • New Features
    • Edit and Address menus are grouped, new Connect Menu, more accurate help files.
    • Posting offline forms is now supported.
    • Icons display which links are inactive.
    • Column width is saved in view modes.
    • Optional confirm messages.
  • Fixed bugs.
    • Fast find feature within the "scrolling list" toolbar.
    • Adresses for which eCatch was only asked to get extra server information were stored with wrong dates and were marked up unread even when refreshed.
    • URLs are not limited any more to 255 characters.
    • Proxy parameters in Main Preferences.
    • Some pages were not downloaded due to the fact servers provided fuzzy date formats.
    • Errors occured when exporting huge sites and generating recapitulative indexes (File|Export|Map all exported addresses option).
    • Acces violation errors did happen sometimes...
