-> The different
ways to connect
-> Notes Summary:
eCatch supports dial-up
modem access and direct connection (proxy server,
ISDN, office network).
The different
ways to connect (Open File
Menu|Preferences|Main).
- Direct
connection (optic-fibers or direct
connections,...) : eCatch
never connects before the software is
asked to download.
- Dial-up
modem access (Windows distant
connection folder) : eCatch
manages your modem so that connections
can start and stop on demand. Once this
icon
is clicked, eCatch
connects if needed before any download or
date verification is launched.
Notes :
In case you installed a special provider pack
to connect, like the AOL one, you won't be
able to rule Internet access through the Windows
distant connection folder. In that restrictive
example, eCatch is neither able to connect
nor to hang up. If such a malfunction occurs,
please start your current software or install Windows
distant Network Access. Then, configure eCatch
for networking connection (File|Preferences|Main|Connection).
