optionsSummary :
after you export a site or an agent to HTML
format, you will be able to group-browse those
pages with your current browser.
Presentation
- Back to
the top !
Mirroring a site
or an agent through the File|export menu allows
you to browse captured pages without using eCatch.
Captured pages don't need eCatch
anymore. Sharing or browsing those pages with any
other HTML compliant tool becomes a child's play.
- All
exported images or pages include relative
links (the whole may be exported and is
operational).
- All
external dead links remain
absolute : they point out at the
original document on the Internet (dead
links are easier to locate).
Fine tuning of
the export feature: you may export a single page,
a single directory created with eCatch, a whole
site or the whole files encapsulated by an agent.
Export
options- Back
to the top !
The Export
options dialog box is reached through the File,
Export Menu; that feature allows you to
export :
- Only
pages located on the same server. You
may limit export to pages hosted by the
same server (identical first URL
references). Hence, in case your eCatch
tree directory contains many pages, that
option allows you to sort them out.
- Mirror
server structure : eCatch
mirrors the original tree
directory found on server and
recreates it.
- Include
images : include images or
not while exporting.
- Only
html and text files :
it avoids exporting fat documents such as
.zip or .exe ones. Images are ruled by
the previous option anyway.
- Map
all exported addresses. A file
(HTML format) is generated and pre-named
"Index",
following the first downloaded page. This
site mapping feature
permits an immediate access to any
exported page.
- Depth
Level : Ask eCatch
to export untill the desired depth level
is reached :
- Depth
Level 0 means you export a page
or/and related images.
- Depth
Level 1 means you export a page
plus all pages pointed out by its
internal links.
- And
so on.
- Path
to export creates the directory
where pages are stored.
- Open
after exporting tells eCatch
to start your current browser and to read
the first exported page or the index.
