The File menu offers operations that create new jobs, open files containing
saved jobs, close job windows, save jobs, and quit the Csound Shell.
- New > Synthesis
- Creates a new, empty synthesis job.
In a Synthesis window, this item is associated with the Command-N shortcut.
- New > HF Analysis
- Creates a new, empty heterodyne filter
analysis job. In an HF analysis window, this item is associated with
the Command-N shortcut.
- New > LP Analysis
- Creates a new, empty linear predictive
analysis job. In an LP Analysis window, this item is associated with
the Command-N shortcut.
- New > PV Analysis
- Creates a new, empty short-time Fourier
analysis job. In a PV Analysis window, this item is associated with
the Command-N shortcut.
- New > CV Analysis
- Creates a new, empty Fourier analysis job.
In a CV Analysis window, this item is associated with the Command-N
shortcut.
- Open…
- Displays a file selection dialog. After you select a saved Csound job file,
it is opened and displayed in a new window. The submenu behind this item
lets you quickly open jobs that were used recently.
- Save
- Saves the current settings into the file associated with the window.
If you haven't yet saved the job, the behavior of this menu item is the
same as that of Save As….
- Save As…
- Displays a file selection dialog. After you select a directory and file
name, the current job is written into the file you indicated.
- Revert
- Discards all changes you have made since the last time the current job
was saved to a file. If the job was never saved or modified, this menu
item is inactive.
- Close
- Closes the window in which you selected the menu item. If you made any
changes and did not save them into a file, you will be prompted and given
the choice of discarding the changes, aborting the Close operation, or
saving the changes.
- About Csound…
- Selecting this item shows some highly interesting information about the
Csound Shell.
- Quit
- Closes all open windows (after checking for unsaved changes, as described
under Close).
