	Odeon Cinemas This is the official Odeon site. You can book tickets for any film on release at any of their cinemas in the UK. You can also book tickets for upcoming releases and get showing time information emailed to you each week. Can be very slow at times.
	UCI Cinemas The main UCI site lets you know what's on at their cinemas around Britain and offers news and reviews of all the major releases. It also provides the number which you can call to book tickets 24 hours a day.
	Warner Village The Warner site allows you to find out what and when films are on at any of their cinemas across the UK. You can then book tickets online for any specific showing.

	Scoot Cinema Guide This is one of the best online tools for finding your local cinema and seeing what's on. It offers all the information you need in a clear and concise way, including directions to the cinema! Brief reviews of each film are also available.
	Virgin - Cinema Guide Finding the information you require is fast and fun, while the recommendations are generally spot on.
	Yell Film Finder A rudimentary yet useful film finder that does exactly what it says on the tin. There's also access to useful additional information, such as local restaurants and the nearest pub.

	Cinema List This site provides a listing of all the cinemas across the UK. The list is ordered alphabetically by town and it is easy to find the information you want. There are links to websites where applicable and links to all the major chain cinemas sites.
Get a map and plan your route
	Easy Map A fantastic site for obtaining a map based on address information. Simply type in the details of the address and press go. The site will then generate a map pinpointing the exact location. This map can be emailed to someone or printed for reference.
	Multimap This mapping website allows you to find a street map of anywhere in Britain based on postcode information. The maps can viewed at a number of different scales and travel directions are provided. This site also includes aerial photos and local information.
	Streetmap Simply enter a postcode or location and this no-frills site will quickly provide you with an accurate and clear street map of the local area. You can zoom in or out and move around the area with a click of the mouse on the screen.

	Childcare Link This site is a fantastic and comprehensive resource for anyone searching for good local childcare. You can search for childcare providers by postcode and a variety of childcare options are given. They also provide good advice about finding quality care.
	Daycare Trust The Daycare trust is the national childcare charity, promoting quality, affordable childcare for everyone. This is an informative site with lots of useful advice and information covering issues such as choosing and paying for care. A very good site.
Organise travel by public transport
	Public Transport Information The BEST and most comprehensive public transport website in Britain. It covers rail, bus, air, coach, ferry, metro and tram travel in the UK and from here to Europe. It contains ticket information, timetables and passenger facility information. Excellent.

	At a Glance Film Reviews This is a great quick reference site that provides short and informative reviews of absolutely loads of films. This is a good site for finding out very quickly whether a film is worth seeing. Covers a wide range of genres and ages of films.
	Empire Offers up to date news and reviews of all the latest releases. This is the online version of the popular magazine and its equally packed with interesting features and interviews as well as the added bonus of features such as chatrooms and message boards.
	Film Unlimited This is a stylish and well written film review site from The Guardian. It offers reviews of a wide variety of films and is updated regularly. The reviews are some of the best on the web and this is a great site for the more discerning cinema goer.
	Film.com This site offers reviews and news about all the latest cinema releases on both sides of the Atlantic. Excellent for finding information about mainstream films and their stars. Also includes several viewable film trailers and news of upcoming films.
	Internet Movie Database This site offers a huge amount of information about thousands of films. Its easy to search for information and allows you to check out some good reviews of the movies you want to see at the cinema, on TV, video or DVD.
	Movie Review Query Engine This site has over 120,000 reviews of over 25,000 films. It is an excellent resource for anyone searching for movie information, no matter what their tastes. Very good for finding foreign language films and rare movies as well as the latest releases.
Read screenplays
	Simply Scripts This is a huge site that is packed full of movie and television scripts. There are hundreds and hundreds of movie scripts in particular, including various drafts of many films and different versions. They are all free and presented in alphabetical order.
	The Movie Cliches List This is an amusing site that lists the hundreds of ridiculous clichés that are present on major Hollywood films. They are divided into useful sections and are well written and often very funny. Well worth a look.
View film trailers
	Coming Soon - Trailers This is a site full of links to trailers for hundreds of films. The films are ordered alphabetically, making it easy to find the trailer you are after. The site is kept up to date with regular additions for many of the latest releases.
	Filmzone This site offers loads of reviews of upcoming releases as well as a long list of viewable film trailers. This is a good all round film site with informative and interesting reviews as well as plenty of film related content to keep cinema fans happy.
	My Movies Here you can find clips and trailers from the latest Hollywood releases. The best of these can be found in the broadband area where there's loads to see, including some exclusive behind the scenes features and news stories.
