Features

PACT Shutdown 98 provides commands to shut down, restart, log off, or power-off your computer by clicking on a taskbar tray icon, define any hotkey you like, or call it from a shortcut or batch file.

A shutdown confirmation is optional, i.e. you can turn it of. You can optionaly force programs to close. Usually every program can break the shutdown process by asking if the user wants to save unsaved data. By selecting "Force Applications to Close" this question is overridden.

What's best, you can run a program before shutdown, for example your backup program. PACT Shutdown 98 recognizes when this program has finished, then powers-off your system unattended.

Batch Capable

Like all PACT Software, PACT Shutdown 98 is batch capable. You can start PACT Shutdown 98 unattended to activate the shutdown, for example from a scheduling program, a shortcut on your desktop, a batch file, or your own programs.

PACT Shutdown 98 accepts one option with the start command: "shutdown.exe /action". This does the shutdown with the currently selected options.

Programmers and Administrators

Should you plan to use PACT Shutdown 98 with your own programs, you can set the options directly with your program, or import them per *.reg file, into the registry. The registry key is HKCU \ Software \ PACT Software \ Shutdown. The values are:
