Editing Table Preferences

Now you have your content in the table it's time to change the way the table looks until it looks the way you want it. You can determine widths, colors, and table borders among other things from the Table Edit window.

  • select the table by clicking with the right mouse button on the outer box.
(it is important to click on the outer box because if you click on the images or text an edit window relating to these objects will be displayed instead of the tables edit window.)
  • select edit.
  • enter the following information into the following fields. This may not look exactly how you would want it so you should try some experimentation until you achieve your preffered look. Remember you can resize the table and the text objects.
      width540
      Height200
      Columns2
      Rows2
      Border0
      Cell Spacing20
      Cell Padding10
  • select OK.
If you preview this page you will notice that the table is not visible but it has instead been used to space out your content and make it look neat.

Check your preview against the "New Products" page pictured here (to find out how, check back to the How Does It Look lesson). If it's not the same, move the elements on your page around until it looks better.
