This is a fast and easy to use site that has links to local government information and websites for the entire country. There is a huge amount of useful information here and navigation is primarily by a simple map, making local information easy to find.

Local councils are responsible for most facilities and services in your area. Use this excellent site to visit the website of your local council and find out about all the services that they offer or to contact a local council member or committee.

This is the local government section of the UK Online website. From here you can access the websites of all the district, borough and county councils in the UK. You can also find links to other relevant information and websites. A very useful site.

  Electoral Commission - Registration
This is the part of the Electoral Commission website where you can download the PDF forms and leaflets that need to completed in order for you to be registered to vote. These include information and leaflets about postal votes.

Create a petition online on pretty much anything you want. This site has a specific UK section but also has other global areas so you can reach people all over the world. You can get help with creating petitions and managing any petitions that you start.

A website all about voting on current issues and gauging people's opinions on loads of different topics. Perhaps the best thing is that you can be paid to vote, and the results of the polls are used by both politicians and businesses on a regular basis.
