This page gives a full list of all the government departments along with the links to their individual websites. It also provides brief information about the ministers involved in each area. 
  
  Home Office
The official home office website provides access to a massive amount of information about legislation, policy, current issues, news stories, recent research and a wealth of government statistics. 
  
  House of Commons
This is the official site of the house of commons. It is the best place to look if you need any information about the house of commons. Includes details about all the MPs, information about what's going on and motions and papers that are being debated. 
  
  House of Lords
Come here to learn all about the house of lords. Read current legislation, find out about what is going on, contact the members and read the latest news. This is the obvious place to visit if you need information about the Lords. 
  
  Ministry of Defence
The MODs official site. It contains a massive amount of information about all the activities that the ministry is involved in all over the world. It is also a gateway to the armed services websites.

This site contains links to every part of the British government, at a national, regional and local level. This is the place to find contact details for almost any aspect of the workings of government across the UK. 
  
  The Cabinet Office
This site is intended to provide fast and simple access to everything that the cabinet office publishes. It has information about the working of government, policy initiatives and the members of the cabinet as well as links to other government websites. 
  
  The Department of Health
This is the official Department of Health website. Here you can find out all about current policy and legislation and access information about all of the related agencies. You can also use the links to quickly access a number of other useful sites. 
  
  The Foreign and Commonwealth Office
This is one of the most useful government websites. You can find information about any country on earth and get accurate and up to date travelling advice. If you need information about anywhere outside the UK, this is the place to come. 
  
  Treasury (Exchequer)
Voted the best departmental website in recent internal government awards, the treasury's site has all the information you would expect presented in a clear way on an easy to use site. 
  
  UK Online
This website is an interactive portal to UK Government services in your area, including links to Government department and agency websites. It also includes a feedback forum where users can express their views on Government policies.

  BOPCAS
The British Official Publications Current Awareness Service is the place where for a fee you can browse over 23,000 references to key British Official Publications from July 1995 onwards. This is a huge resource and is updated very regularly. Amazing. 
  
  Central Office of Information
The COI is responsible for organising the majority of the government's press and publicity. The most useful thing on their site is access to government press releases from departments agencies and other organisations, which can make interesting reading. 
  
  Commons Library Research Papers
From this site you can download the PDF versions of research papers prepared for the government as far back as 1998. They cover many different issues and can provide interesting insights into what has influenced government policy. 
  
  e-Envoy
The office of the e-Envoy is the government department responsible for delivering on the governments target of providing internet access for everyone in the UK and making all government services available online by 2005. Read about their work here. 
  
  UKOP
This is the official catalogue of UK official publications; a serious resource for those who need to know what the government says about any relevant issue. It is the most comprehensive and up-to-date source of government publications in the UK.
