This is an excellent legal portal that provides free advice and information in a very wide range of different categories. From here you can also access a number of other very good legal sites. Law on the Web is well written, comprehensive and very useful. 
  
  Legal Advice Free
As the name implies, this site offers free legal advice and links on a wide range of different topics. The advice is usually up to date and whilst it is no substitute for personal advice from a solicitor it can be a very useful guide to where you stand. 
  
  The Community Legal Service
The CLS was set up by the government in order to try and ensure that people can get information and help about their legal rights and understand how to enforce them in the right place and at the right time. A very useful site that can be of great use. 
  
  UK Legal
A legal site that offers a wide range of links to organisations, websites and individuals who can help you with most aspects of UK law. It's not the most comprehensive site as it relies somewhat on people advertising their services but still worth a look.

The LSC was set up in 1999 to replace the old legal aid board. On this site you can find advice and leaflets covering many different areas in which you may require legal assistance. You can also find links to many services online.

These pages provide information for the public and legal profession about legal aid in Scotland. There is a lot of information aimed at both the public and the legal profession and you can find out how to go about applying for legal aid from here.

This is a great website that offers a fantastic service. You can use this site to find out where you nearest citizens advice bureau is and use it to get advice about all sorts of things. There is also information about a range of related issues.

  BOPCAS
The British Official Publications Current Awareness Service is the place where for a fee you can browse over 23,000 references to key British Official Publications from July 1995 onwards. This is a huge resource and is updated very regularly. Amazing. 
  
  Central Office of Information
The COI is responsible for organising the majority of the government's press and publicity. The most useful thing on their site is access to government press releases from departments agencies and other organisations, which can make interesting reading. 
  
  The Cabinet Office
This site is intended to provide fast and simple access to everything that the cabinet office publishes. It has information about the working of government, policy initiatives and the members of the cabinet as well as links to other government websites. 
  
  UK Online
This website is an interactive portal to UK Government services in your area, including links to Government department and agency websites. It also includes a feedback forum where users can express their views on Government policies.

This is the official catalogue of UK official publications; a serious resource for those who need to know what the government says about any relevant issue. It is the most comprehensive and up-to-date source of government publications in the UK.

Some excellent links to legal resources on the net. From here you can find the best places to access legal documents, publications and other materials. This is one of the best places to find copies of UK legislation.
