The official site of the Royal National Institute of the Blind. Here you can find a range of resources for both people with sight problems and people who work or live with those with sight problems. A very useful site with lots to offer. 
  
  RNID
The Royal National Institute for the deaf. They are the largest deafness charity organisation in the UK and provide information, advice and services to anyone with hearing difficulties. A very informative site that is easy to use and is very useful.

  Health Finder
An American health site that provides a vast amount of hand picked, up to date information on a very large number of medical topics. Although some sections aren’t relevant to the UK, it is still a good place to get good links and up to date information. 
  
  Net Doctor
A huge site that claims to have the most extensive health information on the web. They could well be right. This site is extremely comprehensive and can answer your questions about almost anything you need to know. A very very good online health resource. 
  
  NHS Direct
This is the interactive section of the NHS website that can help you to find a range of information and advice. There is a health encyclopedia, a self-help guide to illness, a health living section and a database of searchable information about the NHS.

A comprehensive directory of information and links to some of the best health and medical resources on the web, all provided in an easily accessible site. Loads of categories cover a huge variety of issues and make this one of the best UK health sites.

This slightly confusing government site allows you to find a wealth of information about the full range of benefits that you may be eligible for and how to apply for them. It is very useful once you've found the area you are looking for. 
  
  Disability Benefits
The aim of this site is to provide a comprehensive amount of information concerning the benefits that are available in order to help those with disabilities, their families and businesses and organisations. A very useful site.
