Find local healthcare facilities

	NHS Local Services This site allows you to locate your local NHS services, including GP surgeries, dental practices, opticians and walk in centres in your area. Searching is very easy and the site also contains links to the rest of the increasingly excellent NHS site.

	Health Finder An American health site that provides a vast amount of hand picked, up to date information on a very large number of medical topics. Although some sections aren’t relevant to the UK, it is still a good place to get good links and up to date information.

	Net Doctor A huge site that claims to have the most extensive health information on the web. They could well be right. This site is extremely comprehensive and can answer your questions about almost anything you need to know. A very very good online health resource.
	NHS Direct This is the interactive section of the NHS website that can help you to find a range of information and advice. There is a health encyclopedia, a self-help guide to illness, a health living section and a database of searchable information about the NHS.
	Patient A comprehensive directory of information and links to some of the best health and medical resources on the web, all provided in an easily accessible site. Loads of categories cover a huge variety of issues and make this one of the best UK health sites.
	Saga - Health This section of the Saga site is full of useful and informative articles on a range of topics that are most relevant to the over 50's. It is well written and covers everything from serious medical problems to things like dream interpretation.
