Contact a bank
	A Directory of UK Banks This is a straightforward directory of all the UK's major banks. It includes all the main high street and online banks, including information about which banks are behind the online versions. Click on a bank to be taken straight to the website.
	Barclays This is the main site for Barclays bank from where you can access their wide range of personal and business online banking options from within the UK or overseas.
	HSBC Bank This takes you to the bank's main website. The site itself offers online banking for account holders and access to a range of banking advice and information. The site has improved somewhat of lasted and is now easier to use and offers more functions.
	Lloyds TSB The homepage of the Lloyds TSB website allows you to access any accounts you might have, learn about their services and products and access the websites of other related companies such as Scottish Widows.
	Natwest This is the main Natwest site, from where you can access all of their Internet banking options as well as finding out about all the other services that they offer.
Get financial advice and information
	CCCS This is the website of the Consumer Credit Counselling Service, a registered charity who free confidential advice about debt. They can help you to achieve realistic solutions to financial problems, learn about money and avoid bankruptcy.
	Debt Advice Bureau A non-profit making independent organisation that provides free advice about ways to get yourself out of debt. It is informative and clearly written with sections covering all the major options that you have and can help you make the right decision.
	Debt Questions A useful and clearly presented site that answers questions and provides advice about a wide range of debt related issues. There are variety of ways to get specific advice and sections covering most of the common topics in detail.
	Financial Services Authority - Advice The FSA is the independent organisation that is responsible for regulation of the banking industry. This is their consumer advice section and its packed with excellent advice to help you make the best decisions and choose the right products.
	FIND This is the Financial Information Net Directory. The first place to look for financial services on the web. This is a professional site, simply laid out and easy to use, with up-to-the-minute news backing up the links to online dealing websites.
	Money Extra A very comprehensive UK personal finance guide that has loads of different sections allowing you to make comparisons of different financial products, including mortgages, loans, savings and investments, pensions and insurance. Up to date and very good.
	Money Sorter From here you can access the full range of highly recommended 'sorter' sites that provide excellent, independent advice and information about a large number of personal finance products in the UK. A brilliant source of clear but detailed information.
Know your rights
	Advice Guide Advice Guide gives you basic advice and information on your rights. It can provide you with a broad outline of where you stand and what you can do. Excellent as a first step in understanding your rights.
	NACAB This is a great website that offers a fantastic service. You can use this site to find out where you nearest citizens advice bureau is and use it to get advice about all sorts of things. There is also information about a range of related issues.
	Office of Fair Trading The main government agency involved in consumer rights. The Office of Fair Trading is concerned with whether or not the way you were sold something is fair, not how good or bad the product is. The people to speak to if you feel unfairly treated.
	Trading Standards Office These people are responsible for making sure that, for example, what you buy isn't going to electrocute you. There are some excellent advice leaflets available here that cover a wide range of topics. Very good for knowing your rights as a consumer.
