	Abbey National A straightforward and uncomplicated site that offers a good range of banking services that you can access from the comfort of your home. All the usual information about products is present and the site is easy to use reasonably quick to load.
	Barclays This is the main site for Barclays bank from where you can access their wide range of personal and business online banking options from within the UK or overseas.
	Cahoot Another internet only bank, this time provided by the Abbey National. Cahoot offers a range of very competitive products and services and you can perform all your normal banking activities from the comfort of your own home.
	Egg Egg have some great deals for anyone interested in opening an online account, getting a cheap credit card or taking out loans. They offer good service, cheap rates and an easy to use and very secure service. One of the best online banks.
	First Direct This is part of the HSBC group and was one of the first 'direct banking' services offered in the UK. They have been in the business of direct banking for longer than most and this translates to many a satisfied customer.
	HSBC Bank This takes you to the bank's main website. The site itself offers online banking for account holders and access to a range of banking advice and information. The site has improved somewhat of lasted and is now easier to use and offers more functions.
	Lloyds TSB The homepage of the Lloyds TSB website allows you to access any accounts you might have, learn about their services and products and access the websites of other related companies such as Scottish Widows.
	Natwest This is the main Natwest site, from where you can access all of their Internet banking options as well as finding out about all the other services that they offer.
	Royal Bank of Scotland From the Royal Bank of Scotland website you can access all your accounts and purchase many of the products that they offer. There is lots of relevant information and the site is generally very simple to use.
	Smile The friendliest and most colourful online bank. Smile is an offshoot of the Co-operative bank, meaning that the same ethical investment policy applies, and offers a wide range of online services and products.
	The Alliance and Leicester Find out all about the products and services offered by the Alliance and Leicester as well as doing all your banking online. The site is easy to navigate and generally quick to load.
	The Woolwich From here you can access your bank accounts and pay bills online via digital TV or your computer. Like the majority of online banking systems, this one is generally very straightforward to use and you can access a number of useful features.
	Virgin One Internet banking from Virgin. A new way of dealing with your personal finances. Claims to be able to make huge savings over more conventional banking. Its easy to use and tries to explain itself as clearly as possible. Requires the flash plug-in.

	Cash Machine Locator A simple but brilliant website. Type in your postcode, place or street (in London) and you will be given details of the locations of your nearest cash machines, including information about what bank it is and a map to help you find them. Fantastic.
	VISA ATM Locator This is a very useful tool from Visa. It can help you to find a VISA cash machine pretty much anywhere. You can perform country specific searches and find cash machines with special facilities like Braille. You also get a map with locations of each one.

	FIND This is the Financial Information Net Directory. The first place to look for financial services on the web. This is a professional site, simply laid out and easy to use, with up-to-the-minute news backing up the links to online dealing websites.
	IFA Promotion This is one of the original and best unbiased sites for finding an independent financial adviser. It has an easy to use system that can match you with an adviser that best suits your requirements and who is usually from your local area. A great resource.
	Moneynet This excellent site has been rated as one of the best personal finance sites. It is one of the most comprehensive and easily searchable sites providing details of hundreds of different financial products and allowing to find the best deals. Brilliant
Learn about online banking and get advice
	British Banker's Association - Direct Banking This section of the British Banker's Association website deals specifically with direct banking services like online banking and WAP access. It has a table comparing services from different banks and answers some questions about online services.
	Financial Services Authority - Advice The FSA is the independent organisation that is responsible for regulation of the banking industry. This is their consumer advice section and its packed with excellent advice to help you make the best decisions and choose the right products.
	Money Extra - Online Banking Guide This is a very good guide to online banking services in the UK. You can find the latest news about the industry, a guide to what services each bank offers and most importantly you can find a well written guide to all the important issues like security.
	The Advice Bank - Online Banking This is a very good guide to online banking on your PC. It covers all the basics and explains all the important issues clearly. There is a separate section on security and an overview of the services offered by most of the online and high street banks.
