	Runners World This is the website of one of the UK's most popular running magazines. There are chat forums, a race diary, race reports, shoe guides and training tips galore. A great site for runners or triathletes everywhere.
	Runners World USA Honest and practical advice on running to stay fit and running to win races, from diet and nutrition to tactics and training.
	Sports Virtual Library This is an amazing site that will enable you at access a huge amount of information about a wide range of sports. Most aspects of sport are covered here and the new football section is particularly good. Definitely worth a look, an excellent site.

	Athletix This excellent athletics portal contains a vast amount of news, statistics and general information about athletics worldwide. It also has loads of links to hundreds of other useful sites. Well worth a look.
	BBC Sport - Athletics The BBC site is updated extremely regularly and has all the latest news and results from athletics events worldwide.
	British Athletics This is a simple and basic site but it contains a wealth of information for anyone interested in athletics. There are links to some useful websites, results, an event diary, training tips and links to clubs around the country.
Contact a sports club or venue
	British Athletics - Clubs This part of the British Athletics site contains access to many of the athletics clubs in the UK, presented county by county. You can also add your club to this site if it is not represented.
	Clubfinder - Athletics This site contains links to hundreds of athletics clubs across the UK. The list is categorised by county but also contains a list of academic athletics clubs across the country. An excellent way to find the club that’s nearest you.
	Running Track Directory This site provides a listing of all of the major running tracks in the UK along with photos where possible. The database is searchable by place and contact details and maps are provided in most cases.
	UK Athletics Club Website Directory This page contains a huge list of links to athletics clubs in the UK. It also contains links to loads of other websites that can help you find a club to suit your needs or provide you with more information about UK athletics. A simple but excellent site.
Contact a sports governing body
	International Association of Athletics Federations This is the official site of the international athletics governing body. Athletes of all levels will benefit from this site as it is packed with useful information and practical advice. An excellent athletics resource.
	UK Athletics Website of governing body of the sport in the UK. As well as information about athletics sports in the UK, this site also includes latest news and results, rankings and profiles of athletes.

	What's On When - Sport This is an absolutely huge and very comprehensive site that can tell you what's on and where for most sporting events all over the world. You can search by sport, location or when its actually on. However, it does have the occasional irritating advert.
Gamble Online
	Free-Bet.co.uk Free-Bet is a site that not only provides links to many of the best online betting sites, but also tells you which ones are currently offering free bets. It briefly describes each site and any free bet offers that they are running.

	IAAF - The Rules This page is from the International Association of Athletics Federations and from here you can download the full version of the official rules of athletics in PDF format (you will need Adobe Acrobat for this). The most comprehensive version available.

	Netfit Netfit is a site dedicated to giving you free access to information about health and fitness, weight loss and nutrition and dieting. It also includes training programs designed specifically for a wide range of different sports.
	Sports Coach This website has been constructed by Brian Mckensie who is a senior national athletics coach. The aim is to provide information and advice that will help athletes and their coaches achieve their goals. A very useful coaching site.
Look up general reference (world records etc.)
	GBR Athletics This site contains lists of all the record holders and medal winners, current rankings and news from recent events.
	Guinness Book of Records This is the online edition of the Guinness Book of Records. It requires the 'Flash' plug-in to view but once you have this, this site is an easy way to find loads of interesting and informative world records.
