Download my bank or brokerage statement
1 On the
navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click
Online.
2 Double-click the
financial institution (Banks, brokerage houses, and credit card providers.) you want to
download (When you make an online connection to a bank, financial institution or Web site requesting information (such as a stock quote or bank statement), that information is transmitted over the Internet, or ôdownloadedö, to your computer. You can then use that information in your Money file.) the
online statement (An electronic list of the transactions that have cleared your financial institution. The information is similar to the information in your paper statement, and you can use it to update your account records electronically. Online statements are available through both Web and direct banking in Money.) from.
If you want to download statements from multiple banks, you need to make a separate connection for each one.
3 In the left pane, click Connect.
4 The remaining steps depend on the service you use.
Click here if you use Direct Statements.
1 At the bottom of the screen, click the Connect or Get Statement button (whichever appears), and then follow the instructions on the screen.
2 Once the connection has ended, read any messages in the Call Summary dialog box, and then click Close.
Click here if you use Web Statements.
1 Click Get Statements, and then log on to the financial institutionÆs Web site.
2 If you use MoneyÆs internal browser and Money detects that a new statement is available, you will see
Statement to Download on the
Web bar (The toolbar across the top of MoneyÆs internal Web browser containing the browser controls. It is available only when the internal Web browser is visible.). Click this button to download the latest statement.
If you use your default browser, find and click the Download to Money button on your financial institutionÆs Web site.
If your financial institution only offers QIF files, you will need to download the QIF file to your hard drive and then import the downloaded file into Money.
After your statement has downloaded successfully, Money gives you the opportunity to review the transactions downloaded and update your account records.
Do I have to update my Account Register right now?
No. If you choose not to update your Account Register at this time, you can always return to Statements & Balances to read your statement again later.
