Options

This dialog allows you to modify the following settings:

Security

Select Read/Only, Virtual write or Read/Write as the kind of drive access.
Clear or write the virtual write cache.

Recovery

Specify a default save directory that will be used by DiskExplorer View file and Recover file feature.
Indicate if you want to be prompted for information by the View file or Recover file feature.

NTFS

You can specify some fundamental NTFS settings:

• Default MFT record size is the size of one MFT entry, usually 1024 bytes.
• Default Index buffer size is the size of an Index allocation buffer, usually 4096 bytes.

Click Set defaults to reset these values to their defaults.

There is usually no need to change the NTFS settings.
