This is an illuminating message about life at the top in McD. read on:

> I am a restaurant manager and I work approx. 43-45 hours per week, my
> assistants also work the same number of hours. I work 5 days per week, and in
> all my 8 years of working for Mcd's in 2 different regions, and in 7 different
> stores, I have never been told to come in and work due to us being
> shorthanded. Besides for a nice salary, I recieve 4 weeks
> paid vacation (every yeat), then an 8 week sabbatical plus 5 weeks vacation
> (every 10 years), a genourous profit sharing program, 401k, stock options, a
> company car, stock purchase plan, short and long term disability pay, 90%
> tuition reimbursement for college level courses (including suppplies),life,
> health and dental insurance to name a few.

And who pays for all these perks and benefits? The low paid crew at the bottom of the heap, as you say yourself:

> I realize that we don't pay alot at the entry level position.

And I have a stong suspicion that they don't benefit from any other company perks (eg. company car, disability pay, etc) that the top managers are entitled to either! No wonder why you call the McD "one of the fairest" companies. Of course you would see it that way as a manager who has done well at the expense of the crew. Could you just tell us what is the difference between your monetary salary and your crews'?

By the way, in my experience the entry level you talk about lasts up to the store management level. Quite a long time hey!
