Operator Levels in IRCplus Version 1.5.x

IRCPlus is flexible, and we know what our customers need. This is why we have in this latest release, have six operator levels. Having "too" much power can sometimes be a problem for network administrators, well that's not a problem -- each level has specific things and the higher you get, the more control you have.

Server Administrator - Admin (Level 1)

• Full root or remote access to the IRC chat server.
• Can't be klined from the server
• Can change the modes of other IRC clients.
• Can not be deoped, kicked or banned from any channel on the server
• Can change and view modes, topic, kick, prop, and access.
• Can view and register, nicknames on nickserv and register rooms.
• Can use glines to force a nickname change on someone.
• Can kill (Disconnect) any user on the server.
• Can Kill line any mask and remove any kill lines set by other IRC Ops.
• Can see hidden channels and all invisible users on the server

• Can't be klined from the server

  System Manager - SysMgr (Level 3)

• Owners in all channels that aren't set with mode +z
• Can view and registered nicknames on nickserv and register rooms.
• Can kill (disconnect) any user on the server apart from Admins.
• Can kill line masks and remove masks as long as an Admin doesn't set them.
• Can use glines to force a nickname change on someone.
• Can not be deoped, kicked from channels that aren't set with mode +z.

System Operators - Sysop (Level 4)

• Hosted in all channels that aren't set with mode +z
• Can kill (disconnect) any user on the server apart from Admin(s).
• Can kill line masks and remove masks as long as an Admin or SysMgr didn't set it
• Can use glines to force a nickname change on someone.
• Can not be deoped, kicked from channels that aren't set with mode +z.

• Can kill (disconnect) any user on the server apart from Administrators.
• Can kill line masks and remove masks as long as no one higher set it.
• Can use glines to force a nickname change on someone.

• Can see server messages and help messages, issued by "/help <command>"
