New password list

Open password list...

Opens an existing password list from a Steganos encrypted file or carrier file or reads the password list from the currently inserted SmartCard. Refer to Local file/SmartCard.

Encrypt password list...

Encrypts and saves the password list into a Steganos encrypted file or on the currently inserted SmartCard. Refer to Local file/SmartCard.

Hide password list in carrier file...

Hides and encrypts the password list in a carrier file. If the password list from the SmartCard is currently displayed this option is disabled.

Change password of password list...

You can change the password that is used to encrypt the password list in a Steganos encrypted file, carrier file, or SmartCard. Read about choosing a good password.

Add new password entry...

Creates a new password entry and adds it to the currently displayed password list. There are different types of password entries. If you click on the small arrow you can choose the type of the new password entry. By default a standard password entry is created.

Delete password entry...

Deletes the selected password entries from the currently displayed password list.

Edit password entry...

Opens the dialog editing the password entry.

Copy password entry

Creates an exact copy of the password entry and adds it to the password list.

Generate password

Allows you to generate actually secure passwords.

InKA (Invisible Key Agreement)...

Activates the InKA wizard which guides you through the process of invisible key agreement with a communication partner.

Local file/

Choose whether the password list of the currently open file or the password list from the SmartCard is to be displayed. The Functions open, encrypt, hide, and change password refer to the currently displayed password list.

Copy password entry from/to SmartCard

If the password list from the currently open file (local file) is displayed the selected password entries are copied to the password list from the SmartCard. If the password list from the SmartCard is displayed the selected password entries are copied to the password list from the local file.
