How can I invisibly agree on a password with someone?
InKA (Invisible Key Agreement) gives you the possibility of invisibly agreeing on a password with a communication partner. You may use such a password to exchange Steganos encrypted files later. Of course you can use such a password for different means, too. An internet connection to a key server is not necessary. This connection would already reveal the fact that you want to start a communication.
You can start
InKA by opening the Password Management and clicking on . InKA uses a user-friendly wizard. This wizard will
guide you through the process of the key agreement.
Note: An InKA key agreement must be started by one of two partners. It is not possible for two persons to simultaneously start a communication. If that happens InKA will notify you with an error message.
Note: To ensure security it is necessary that carrier files used for key exchange are not manipulated on their way to the recipient by a third party. Most eavesdroppers - especially secret services - do not want to be discovered, so they won't change these files. Steganos also gives you the possibility to check the integrity of two files by using Digital fingerprints.
InKA is based upon an idea of Dr. Ross Anderson (University of Cambridge, Great Britain).
