Menu File

 

The File menu offers well known Windows functionality for opening and closing projects, as well as printing. This menu can be found by File out of the main menu.

Opens a new image. All images in the same directory of the file opened are shown in the file list at the left hand side of the window (see also chapter File Order).

Opens a dialog that allows one to browse for another folder. Check "Recurse subfolders" to include images out of all subfolders.

Closes the currently open image and clears the file list.

Allows to save current image as BMP or JPG file.

Opens the Twain source selection dialog to specify a scanner or digital camera

Opens the Twain interface to acquire a still image.

Opens the Print Preview dialog for printing the current image.

Opens the Print Preview dialog for printing thumbnails. The print size for the thumbnails is defined in Preferences. Sound files thumbnails are not printed.

Opens the Card Layout Dialog for printing all types of card sizes. Sound files thumbnails are not printed.

Re-synchronizes the file list shown with the folder contents.

The thumbnails are rebuilt according to the current thumbnail size set in the Preferences dialog.

Opens a dialog to browse a target folder to copy the currently opened file to.

Opens a dialog to browse a target folder to move the currently opened file to.

Asks for a new file name to rename the file.

Moves the currently opened file to the recycle bin.

Opens the Preferences dialog box that to allows to modify file format associations and certain start-up defaults.

The MRU-list is a history list that allows one to quickly access the most recently used files.
