You can access this section through the menu [File / Advanced].

The Advanced Recovery process allows you to perform the recovery of a damaged MS Excel file with advanced options and additional functions. If advanced options are not required we recommend using the Quick recovery.

Advanced Recovery is divided into 3 functional areas represented on the left of the screen by 3 groups:

• Recovery: Links in this group will take you to the different entry points of the advanced recovery wizard. You will be able to select the damaged file, recover, view and save it to a new and trouble free MS Excel file.
• Lost Strings: Links in this group allow you to access the lost string wizard. This is intended to be used as a tool to restore files containing lost strings.
• Editor: The editor allows you to perform advanced editing application to the current previewed file before saving.

Why are some options not available?

Some options are grayed out until a file has been read and is in the memory of the software. For example, you cannot access the editor or the lost string recovery options until a file has been selected and recovered.
