Based on information youÆve added to your accounts, Money tracks your net worth automatically. If you keep your financial records up to date, Money's Net Worth report will give you an accurate picture of your overall financial situation.

To create a Net Worth report

1 On the navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click Reports.

2 In the left pane, click What I Have.

3 Double-click Net Worth or Net Worth Over Time.

Making sure your net worth is accurately reported

Because an accurate Net Worth report reflects everything you own and everything you owe, you need to make sure you've entered into Money all of your:

Bank account information, including checking, savings, credit card, and line of credit accounts.
Investments, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, money-market funds, and CDs.
Assets, including real estate, cars, and boats.
Loans, including mortgages, student loans, and car loans.
Other liabilities, such as taxes you owe or other non-amortized loans (loans from friends or relatives.).

If your Net Worth Over Time report shows a balance on an asset before you acquired the asset, you can enter the purchase date in Account Details for the asset to correct this problem.
