Once youÆve started recording your finances in Money, you can use reports and charts to help you analyze your financial situation by:
- Creating accurate reports and charts To create many of its reports and charts, Money uses the category information you entered in your account registers. If you havenÆt been using categories, this is a good reason to start: Categories can help you improve the accuracy of your financial picture.
- Customizing your reports and charts You can customize MoneyÆs reports or charts to contain just the information you want ù in the format you want. For example, maybe you want to see transactions for only the past 30 days, rather than the entire year. Or you may want to make columns wider, or change fonts.
- Saving favorite reports and charts for future use Money automatically saves any changes you make to its standard reports and charts, so you donÆt have to start from scratch every time. But if you want to start over without losing your changes, you can save your existing report or chart to the My Favorites list.
Because favorites are saved as individual reports and charts, when you add one to your list of favorites, you can work with both it and the standard report or chart itÆs based on without one affecting the other. Favorites also give you easy access to the reports and charts you use most frequently.
- Reviewing your Monthly reports At the end of every month, Money takes a snapshot of your current financial situation. Check out these Monthly Reports (you can even view past months or the month in progress) for an extensive overview that includes budgetary information, advice, comparisons, and detailed charts and reports.
- Printing or sharing your financial picture You can print any of MoneyÆs reports or charts. Or you can export information from a Money report to work with in another program or to share electronically.
