What gets pasted into the other application?
When you copy a report, it is pasted into another file as tab-delimited text. Charts are pasted as pictures.
WhatÆs the difference between export and copy?
When you export a report, you create a new file which you can open in another program and reuse. When you copy a report and then paste it into another program, you get the same result without saving the additional file. And because you can only export reports, if you want to view a chart outside of Money, you have to copy and then paste it.
If you import your report into a spreadsheet program, it means that data will be organized into columns and rows. In other programs or files, the report will have a tab character between the columns of data in each row, and a carriage return at the end of each row.
