With Web Financial Services you complete all of your financial tasks on your financial institutionÆs Web site and then download the information into Money manually. Like Direct Financial Services, Web Financial Services consists of two distinct services. Your financial institution (Bank, brokerage house, and credit card provider.) doesnÆt have to support both, but support for Web Statements is a requirement for compatibility with Money.

• Web Statements This service allows you to download (When you make an online connection to a bank, financial institution or Web site requesting information (such as a stock quote or bank statement), that information is transmitted over the Internet, or ôdownloadedö, to your computer. You can then use that information in your Money file.) online statements (Electronic list of the transactions that have cleared your financial institution. The information is similar to the information in your paper statement, and you can use it to update your account records electronically. Online statements are available through both Web and direct banking in Money.) through your financial institutionÆs Web site. When you log on to the Web site, if Money detects that a new statement is available, Money reminds you to download the statement yourself.
• Web Bill Payment This service allows you to create and send payments on your financial institutionÆs Web Financial Services Web site and then download that payment information into Money. You do not need to designate a payment in Money as a Web payment, but if you want to create the payment in Money before you enter it on the Web, create it like a normal payment, and then enter it again on the Web site. When you download your statement, Money will make sure not to duplicate the payment in your account register.

  You can only make payments out of your accounts at that financial institution.

A modem (Short for modulator/demodulator, a communications device that enables a computer to send or receive information over a standard telephone line.), Internet access, and an account at a participating financial institution are required for Web Financial Services.
