What is New in FL Studio 5
This is a list of the important new features in FL Studio 5. For a complete
list of new features (and bugfixes) in this and older FL Studio releases,

New Features in FL Studio 5.02
- Sytrus 1.5 is now included in the setup program (note: free for existing Sytrus users, operates in DEMO mode for all other users). New features include: revamped and enhanced harmonics editor, new feature-rich filter module & gibbs phenomenon attenuation tools and real-time processing.
- New Piano Roll tools - Key Limiter, Flipper.
- New Event Editor tool - Level Scaling.
- New Piano Roll tools button for direct access to tools.
- Alternate arrange windows command (leaves the taskbar uncovered in Windows XP).
- Ability to detach windows (for dual screen setups). To detach a window, open the window's menu > View > Detach.
- Added local snap selector to the Piano Roll, Event Editor and Playlist.
- Various improvements to the user interface.
Time-Stretching in Audio Tracks and Sampler
- FL Studio features the high quality ZPlane Elastique time-stretching technology. Tonal, drums, slices and resample time-stretching are available.
- Sampler and Audio Clips support time-stretching (resizing audio clips stretches them in time).
Automation Clip & Improved Audio Clips
- Brand new Automation Clips added to the Playlist. Each clip supports a spline-based envelope and an LFO unit.
- Added option to trim audio clip parts outside playlist selection.
Improved Recording
New Plugins:
- FPC - FL Studio MPC, a new self-contained drum machine plugin.
- WaveShaper - Graph based distortion with supersampling.
- Video Player - Synchronized playback of video content inside FL Studio.
Improved Plugins
- Granulizer is vastly improved (supports transients, new key-to modes).
- Sytrus adds global envelopes, new curve types and more.
- Fruity Slicer is improved to support the new slicing engine & time stretching capabilities; FL Studio and Slicer load ReCycle Loop Files.
- DrumSynth Live now supports up to 120 patches at once.
