I hear you. My first job was at the Mcdonalds I currently work at. I've been coming here since it first open in the 70's. It use to bring me a smile when my dad would take me.. Now the Franchise I work under is cutting back on everything. I'm loosing crew and customers. Since it open up there are 5 new fast food restuarant within a block radius. So we are under competion for crew not just customers. But our owner operator doesn't want to dish out the extra pay, or benifits. All I see now are a bunch of people who come from out of town. I sure do miss my regular customers. I wish I could get that smile now.
