I am a swing manager at a company owned store. I have worked there for 3 years while I attend college. In the 3 years I have put up with so much crap from the company and from the customers, that it has truly jadded my personallity. The company keeps taking our benifits away, reducing our raises, cutting labor to the point that we are killing ourselves to serve the customers and still getting cussed out. I know so many people who have quit or are looking for another job (including myself).
I know of supervisors who got their jobs by sleeping with people. Where has the work ethic gone? McDonald's is currently under Burger King in sales. They are trying to point the finger at everyone but themselves. they blame the crew for not following proceedures, they blame the people who came up with the new arch deluxe (these people were all fired or demotted), and they blame anything under the sun but the true culprits-themselves.
Ray Krok used to say that if you take care of your employees, they will take care of your customers, and the customers will keep comming back. I assure you he is rolling over in his grave right now.
