  5. ~I've recently started playing Privateer (which IMHO is a great game)
  6. ~and I don't have enough credits het to buy a Centurion class ship.
  7. ~Unfortunately the manual (or the game) doesn't list the price of the
  8. ~ships but I had enough to purchase an Orion and a Galaxy. I have
  9. ~about 120,000 credits (plus a Tarsus for trade-in).  How close am I?

  12. It has been a while but the number 200,000 comes to mind.  The 
  13. easiest way is to try and buy it. When the salesmen stops giving 
  14. you shit for not having enough $ he'll tell you how much you still 
  15. need.  When I played this game I went from the Taurus to the 
  16. centurian.  You'll need at least 75,00 to 100,000 more credits than 
  17. the price tag to outfit it properly.  The best way to earn money is
  18. to pick acouple of patrol missions, (run the navs and kill a few 
  19. squids) and trade back and forth between an agriculture base and a 
  20. mining base.  Buy food on the ag. base and sell it to the mining.  
  21. Buy ore on the mining base and sell it to the ag. base.  You can 
  22. earn 15,000 - 20,000 credits a mission this way.
