  9. between 1.99q<x> and 2.0.  Beta1 comes after beta0.

  11. Beta0 should have all the functionality of E2 and either all the
  12. documentation files for E2 or placeholders for the documentation files
  13. for E2 that aren't yet finished.  It will still have some
  14. "showstoppers" (significant bugs) but it will give a few people the
  15. chance to comment on our overall packaging and the chance to hunt for
  16. showstoppers that we don't know about while we fix the remaining known
  17. showstoppers.
