  9. More memory now will definitely improve Executor/X-Windows
  10. performance.  At some point after we get Executor/NEXTSTEP going
  11. again, we are likely to have an SVGALIB version of Executor/Linux.  It
  12. is not clear how much memory Executor/SVGALIB will need.  In addition,
  13. our Linux version is not particularly tuned toward efficient memory
  14. use, but even when it is, Executor itself is about 1.5 MB and needs
  15. room for the Mac program that you're going to run.  It also needs room
  16. for the memory that the Mac program requires and beyond that there is
  17. need for additional memory for the translated to x86 version of the
  18. Mac program Executor's running, so even a memory-tuned SVGALIB version
  19. is still going to take up a bunch of memory if you want to do anything
  20. interesting with it.
