- This is an interesting one.
-
- Let me first explain my system.
-
- Its an AST Advantage 828 with an ATI Mach64 video card. It has 32 megs =
- of RAM, but E/DOS only sees 11 or so when running through Windows95. I =
- just downloaded the new ATI Vesa 2 video drivers.
-
- I ran E/DOS with and without the new drivers installed (through Windows =
- 95), and I got the exact same results. The first time, without the VBE =
- 2.0 drivers, it detected no VBE 2.0, and the second time, with the VBE =
- 2.0 drivers, it detected that there was a VBE 2.0 compliant video card. =
- The video was, according to Speedometer, exactly the same. It appeared =
- to be slower after installing VESA 2.0.
-
- I will restart in MSDOS mode, and see if that makes a difference. Also, =
- I will try the new cwsdpmi, to see if that makes a difference.
-
- If anyone else has seen anything similar, please speak up.
