  17. This is an interesting one.

  19. Let me first explain my system.
  20.  
  21. Its an AST Advantage 828 with an ATI Mach64 video card.  It has 32 megs =
  22. of RAM, but E/DOS only sees 11 or so when running through Windows95.  I =
  23. just downloaded the new ATI Vesa 2 video drivers.

  25. I ran E/DOS with and without the new drivers installed (through Windows =
  26. 95), and I got the exact same results.  The first time, without the VBE =
  27. 2.0 drivers, it detected no VBE 2.0, and the second time, with the VBE =
  28. 2.0 drivers, it detected that there was a VBE 2.0 compliant video card.  =
  29. The video was, according to Speedometer, exactly the same.  It appeared =
  30. to be slower after installing VESA 2.0.

  32. I will restart in MSDOS mode, and see if that makes a difference.  Also, =
  33. I will try the new cwsdpmi, to see if that makes a difference.
