  12. This is an interesting one.

  14. Let me first explain my system.
  15.  
  16. Its an AST Advantage 828 with an ATI Mach64 video card.  It has 32 megs 
  17. of RAM, but E/DOS only sees 11 or so when running through Windows95.  I 
  18. just downloaded the new ATI Vesa 2 video drivers.
  19.  
  20. I ran E/DOS with and without the new drivers installed (through Windows 
  21. 95), and I got the exact same results.  The first time, without the VBE 
  22. 2.0 drivers, it detected no VBE 2.0, and the second time, with the VBE 
  23. 2.0 drivers, it detected that there was a VBE 2.0 compliant video card.  
  24. The video was, according to Speedometer, exactly the same.  It appeared 
  25. to be slower after installing VESA 2.0.

  27. I will restart in MSDOS mode, and see if that makes a difference.  Also, 
  28. I will try the new cwsdpmi, to see if that makes a difference.
