  41. Tony if it were this simple, you would have a leg to stand on.  You have to
  42. come off sounding abusive or sarcastic, even if it is not your intention.
  43. If that is not your intention, then you should examine your audience before
  44. you comment.

  48. - you made the comments that someone should purchase a OS native product in
  49. a list/newsgroup specifically directed at and concerning the use of non-OS
  50. native products through the use of an OS/hardware emulator (Executor).

  52. - in the original message in question, the sender specifically requested
  53. assistance in determining if there was any knowledge pertaining to the
  54. success of running a Macintosh native version of Wordperfect under
  55. Executor.

  60. time, nobody probably did, and he should go out and buy the native app.
  61. You proceeded to tell him that since it was available on all platforms, why
  62. would anyone bother to go to the trouble (which others have explained)

  64. Indeed, why would anyone bother to spend ten years developing an emulator
  65. that would allow it?

  68. Why subscribe to this newsgroup if you can afford to buy a copy of every
  69. software package you own for every platform you run?  More importantly,
  70. when it was obvious from the original message what information was being
  71. requested, why reply if you were not going to answer, and after that, why
  72. the snide answer when you gave an inappropriate answer and the original
  73. poster mistook that as interest.

  75. General rule of thumb, if one person thinks you were rude it is a mutual
  76. misunderstanding.  If three people think you were rude, they are probably
  77. right.
