- Apparently we introduced a serious bug in 1.99q. It's a very high
- priority bug and I hope to have something fixed by this weekend.

- This is irrelevant, but *my* University has a campus wide

-
- Tony if it were this simple, you would have a leg to stand on. You have to
- come off sounding abusive or sarcastic, even if it is not your intention.
- If that is not your intention, then you should examine your audience before
- you comment.
-
- Look at the facts:
-
- - you made the comments that someone should purchase a OS native product in
- a list/newsgroup specifically directed at and concerning the use of non-OS
- native products through the use of an OS/hardware emulator (Executor).
-
- - in the original message in question, the sender specifically requested
- assistance in determining if there was any knowledge pertaining to the
- success of running a Macintosh native version of Wordperfect under
- Executor.
-
- -your response - there is a native app.
-
- - when he asked if you could be of assistance, you said no, you had no
- time, nobody probably did, and he should go out and buy the native app.
- You proceeded to tell him that since it was available on all platforms, why
- would anyone bother to go to the trouble (which others have explained)
-
- Indeed, why would anyone bother to spend ten years developing an emulator
- that would allow it?
-
- I really have to ask you (against my better judgement) why are you here?
- Why subscribe to this newsgroup if you can afford to buy a copy of every
- software package you own for every platform you run? More importantly,
- when it was obvious from the original message what information was being
- requested, why reply if you were not going to answer, and after that, why
- the snide answer when you gave an inappropriate answer and the original
- poster mistook that as interest.
-
- General rule of thumb, if one person thinks you were rude it is a mutual
- misunderstanding. If three people think you were rude, they are probably
- right.
-
- Cheerios,
