  24. Yes, its quite easy, depending on what system you are copying these to.
  25. I believe that a program called "sox" will convert these files, and is 
  26. available as source, compilable on any platform.

  28. I use Linux, and the Lsox package available on sunsite.  All I ahve to do 
  29. is type
  30. sox quack quack.au
  31. and it will make an .au file that I can play.
  32. sox quack quack.wav
  33. makes a .wav file.

  35. If you use DOS or OS/2, I think you can archie for something called sox 
  36. to do the same thing...
