- DISPLAY allows you to manipulate existing entities and
- drawings without permanently altering their coordinates.
- These functions do not change the part's database, it only
- changes the display of the part on the screen. To change
- the actual size of the part, use the X-FORM, SCALE
- options.
-
- These functions are very useful for visually referencing
- different sections or views of a part, and for controlling
- the appearance of the part itself.
-
- Manipulate the display of your part by choosing from the
- following options:
-
- REDRAW - to clean-up (or rebuild) the display by
- eliminating all broken lines and temporary reference
- markers that result from creating and editing entities.
-
- PAN - to redefine the center of a selected viewport,
- relative to the part.
-
- ZOOM - to temporarily alter the size of your part for
- easier manipulation.
-
- VIEW - to manipulate the display view of your model.
-
- VWPORT (viewport) - to set and manipulate the number of
- viewports on the display and to simultaneously display
- more than one view of your part.
-
- LEVELS - to separate a part into different layers or
- overlays. Each layer can be manipulated individually or
- with other layers.
-
- GRD/SNAP (Grid/Snap) - to set the grid spacing and snap
- alignment within a viewport for use as a drawing aid.
-
- AXES - to change the visual display of the current
- construction and display view by turning the x, y, z
- direction icon on and off.
-
- CURSOR - to use the cursor as a visual guide for
- digitizing an existing drawing on your tablet, or for
- tracking the world coordinate location within the
- viewport.
-
- Most of these functions can also be accessed in your
- Status Window Area or with an Immediate Mode command.
