  1. PAN allows you to redefine the center of a selected
  2. viewport, relative to the part. The result looks as though
  3. the viewport is shifted with respect to the part. This
  4. option is assigned an Immediate Mode command. This option
  5. is modal, (i.e., repetitive).

  7. Use this option when you do NOT want to alter coordinate
  8. data, as when viewing different parts of a zoomed drawing
  9. to add detail.
  10.  
  11. A frame-like box surrounds the part and attaches itself to
  12. the cursor to represent the viewport position. The
  13. crosshair cursor now represents the center of the part. As
  14. the box is moved, the part is scanned.

  16. Indicate a new center position for the displayed part 
  17. using one of two methods by either entering the x, y 
  18. coordinate values for a new center position and pressing 
  19. <Enter> or moving the cursor to a desired location and 
  20. pressing the cursor button.

  22. The part is repositioned in the viewport.
  23.  
  24. Press <Enter> to accept this new position.
